Miss Tourism Uganda launches “Homecoming” tour

Nabulya Sydney Kavuma, a 20-year-old International Business student at Nakawa-based Makerere University Business School, was named the 2022/2023 Queen at the event held at Kampala Serena Hotel last month.

Under the theme “Re-thinking Tourism”, the event fetched dignitaries including members of parliament, reigning beauty pageants, celebrities, and the general public.

Miss Popularity, Miss Photogenic, Miss Congeniality, Miss National Costume, Miss Talent, Sports Queen, Miss Heritage, and Uganda Wildlife Education Center brand ambassador were among the titles bestowed upon outstanding contestants.

Now the Miss Tourism Uganda management has come up with an interesting tour dubbed “Homecoming”.

The tour will be led by the reigning Miss Tourism Uganda with the aim of promoting tourism sites in the different regions of Uganda that include Karamoja, Kigezi, and Buganda, where the current queen comes from.

The campaign is done as Miss Tourism Uganda is celebrating 10 years of holding the event.
