According to Daniel Ogong, Stanbic Bank’s Head Marketing and Communications, these options will make Gold ticket payments convenient for the customer.

“Stanbic Bank is proud to be associated with the Johnnie Walker Jazz Safari. Now in its 10th year, we recognize and acknowledge the legendary annual concert and what it means to all stakeholders inclusive of the fast growing fan base. We come in to add to its worth by   making the payment process easy and accessible through our digital service, and this time with a discount.” Daniel said.

The Flexipay platform enables people to easily make payments for the tickets using their mobile money directly at the ticket points of sale. All there is to do is dial  *290*1#, select Pay Goods & Services and enter the Merchant Code displayed at the merchant’s shop to be able to get a Gold  ticket at a discounted price.

“A Gold ticket at UGX130, 000 will be bought at UGX100, 000 once a customer uses Flexipay or the Visa/MasterCard option. Additionally, those who buy tickets given the payment options provided will automatically enter a draw and stand a chance to win tickets to the concert.” he added.

Tickets can be got at Stanbic Bank branches at Acacia Mall, Forest Mall and Garden City, Game Lugogo, Capital Shoppers at Garden City, House of Walker Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Liquid Silk Village Mall Bugolobi and Liquid Silk Mogas Naalya.

Tshaka Mayanja, co-founder Jazz Safari said, “We thank Stanbic Bank for bringing on board payment solutions that ease accessibility to the concert. In the last 10 years, trends have evolved and as managers of the concert, we are always looking for ways to match that. We know people are busy and do not have time to pick cash and look for the tickets; a reason as to why we felt it important to get a partner to offer cashless and easy modes of payment.”

Ogong concluded, “As a bank, we are very cognizant of the new trends and aim to transcend people’s needs. We understand the need for convenience while providing secure measures through approved credentials and qualities that the Flexipay payment platform provides. We do not need to transact using cash, through this platform; we guarantee you a seamless transaction.”
