Basena names final Cranes Squad travelling to Egypt tomorrow morning

Uganda Cranes Interim coach Moses Basena has named the final 20 man squad ahead of trip to Alexandria due tomorrow, Sunday morning. Basena announced the squad after the last morning training session at Namboole.

The squad is as expected with no key omissions; Emmanuel Okwi and Farouk Miya who were stretched in the historic Thursday win are fit for the second tie.

Captain Dennis Onyango will lead his troops to the  land of Pharaoh, Isma Watenga and Benjamin Ochan are two other goalkeepers on the squad.

Other Squad Members: Nico Wakiro Wadada, Godfrey Walusimbi, Isaac Isinde, Murushid Juuko, Wasswa Hassan Mawanda, Khalid Aucho, Emmanuel Arnold Okwi, Faruku Miya, Derrick Nsibambi,  Joseph Benson Ochaya, Bernard Muwanga, Ivan Ntege, Muzamiru Mutyaba, William Luwagga Kizito, Milton Karisa, Isaac Muleme and Geoffrey Serunkuma.

Cranes will play Egypt in the second leg of 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier Russia on Tuesday night. A draw form the game will see Cranes retain the top spot of group E as there will be only two games to play; Ghana at Namboole then away to Congo.
