The first round of the National Rugby Premiership will conclude this weekend in fitting style; with a battle for top spot between Black Pirates and Betway Kobs. Pirates who ruthlessly slashed bottom placed Jinja Hippos102-8 last weekend sit atop the log with a two-point advantage over rivals Kobs on 33 points. In their game last week, Kobs put Impis to the sword as they scored 99 points with opponents failing to register a single try.

Reigning champions Heathens, who are placed fourth on the log, play away against the Warriors on Saturday at Kyadondo, but can only manage to maintain their position. Impressive Rimula Rhinos will be hoping to also end the round on a high as they host relegation strugglers Jinja Hippos.
