PHOTOS: How Oliver Nakakande beat 21 contestants to be crowned Miss Uganda 2019

In case you missed it, Oliver Nakakande was crowned Miss Uganda 2019. The 24-year-old student is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management beat 21 contestants to the crown.

The event was full of glamour and glitter, as it was graced by Kampala’s top models, socialites and people of power at Sheraton Hotel Kampala.

She was crowned by Miss Vanessa De Ponce and Miss World Africa Quiin Abenakyo.

Miss Uganda 2019 Oliver Nakakande together with Former Miss Uganda Quiin Abenakyo and Miss World Vanessa De Ponce.

 The first runner up was makeup artist Elizabeth Bagaya while Mariam Nyamate was the second runner up.

Miss Uganda, Oliver Nakakande with the 1st and 2nd runner-ups.

Nakakande will be representing Uganda at the 69th edition of Miss World slated to take place on December 14, 2019.

Besides the crown, Nakakande was gifted with a brand new red Toyota Wish.

The fun filled night was graced by dignitaries like the Speaker of Parliament Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, Former Minister Capt. Mike Mukula , Socialite Zari, Eddy Kenzo, Judith Heard, Lydia Jazmine and many more.
