Yesterday, Dr. Kiiza Besigye and his right-hand man Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago were the star men in the queue of opposition politicians who visited Kyadondo East MP Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (aka Bobi Wine) at his home in Magere. The opposition stalwarts, among them also Mukono Municipality MP Betty Nambooze, were welcoming Bobi Wine back to the free world after the MP’s short stint in Luzira prison.

Now, we have learnt that the visit of Dr. Kizza Besigye also served as an opportunity for the two biggest opposition figures in Uganda today to discuss how they can join forces to successfully bring to and end the reign of President Museveni and his NRM government.

Apparently, as they had a good time in Magere, Bobi Wine and Dr. Besigye discussed how to begin working together to achieve their common goal of ‘liberating Uganda from NRM rule.’ Word is that they agreed on several things, key among them speaking out to their respective die-hards to stop being hostile to each other, rather to unite and work togetehr because their leaders are also working together.

Writing about the meeting on his Facebook wall today, Bobi Wine also echoed these same developments: “…We also had a very good conversation about where the people’s struggle for liberation stands, and what we must do together to complete the task ahead,” Bobi Wine wrote.
