Earlier this week, pictures of another National Resistance Movement (NRM) party supporter identified as Isaac Katoogo surfaced on social media claiming he had been nailed in the mouth by opposition supporter for always expressing his love for President Museveni.

Katoogo who is a resident in Mbale district rushed to Nkoma Police Station and recorded a statement. Police immediately carried out investigations only to discover that Katoogo had fabricated the story.

He was arrested and interrogated to establish the intention of his act. Police revealed that he was giving contradicting statements about the incident. His file has been forwarded to CMI for further interrogation.

On receiving such statements form police, NRM chairperson Mbale district, Masaba Muhamudu yesterday disowned Katoogo saying he is not known by anyone as a member of the party.  He warned youths against using trickery to earn a living adding that it may instead lead them into trouble.

Katoogo’s scenario comes just a month after Baker Kasumba, an NRM supporter in Bwaise was allegedly nailed in the hands by people who he claimed were supporters of the opposition.
