Eddy Kenzo and Rema battle for Artiste of the Year as Zzina Awards release nomination list

As the annual Zzina Awards bounce back again for the 7th consecutive year under the theme “For the Love of Ugandan Music”, The Galaxy FM team officially unveiled the full list of contenders for this year’s awards which marks the beginning of the voting process set to be conducted solely on their website.

Before we can even move past estranged couple Eddy Kenzo and Rema Namakula drama, the two celebrated musicians will this time round be battling for the Artiste of the Year Award. 

Rema whose name has dominated in the different categories that include Best Contemporary Urban song, Best collaboration, Best Female and Best Contemporary Artiste will be being battling with baby daddy, Eddy Kenzo for the top prize.

The musicians’ two songs Ssemyekozo and Gutujja caused a debate at the end of the year as many tried to choose the 2019 song of the year between the two songs.
