2022 WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: Micho drops five players

After a few days of training, Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Micho Sredejovich has dropped five players from his local-based side preparing for the doubleheader against Rwanda in the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

They are Vipers’ midfielder David Bagoole, George Kaddu (Wakiso Giants), Joachim Ojera (URA), Ibrahim Wammanah (UPDF), and Davis Kasirye (KCCA).

The camp has now been trimmed to 28 players. However, 10 foreign-based players will join the team at a later stage.

The regional derby will be played on 7th and 10th October. Mali currently leads Group E with four points, Uganda and Kenya have two points each while Rwanda has one point.
