The High Court in Kampala has ordered the American couple accused of trafficking and torturing their 10-year-old adopted son to pay cash bail of Shs50 million each.

The couple, Nicholas Spencer, 32, and his wife Mackenzie Leigh Mathias Spencer, also 32, who came to Uganda in 2017 were arrested in December last year before being remanded to Luzira prison.

The two applied for bail citing their health conditions and the inability of local prisons to accommodate them.
