Ugandan socialite living in South Africa, Zari Hassan, has admitted that she didn’t think her ex-boyfriend Diamond Platnumz would date her.

The 42-year-old Zari claimed during an interview that she did not see any chance of winning Diamond’s love.

“I wasn’t sure we would date. Honestly, I was like, he is a big guy, he is out there… he is not for me,” she said.

It should also be recalled that in 2017, Zari admitted during one of the interviews that she had seduced the singer into entering her life and that she had been the first to contact him.

“I slid into his DM so that he could come to my white party and then he told me to talk to his manager,” said Zari a few years back.

The two allegedly met on a plane in 2014, shortly after Zari had split up with the late Ivan Semwanga, the father of her three older sons.

As they frequently made headlines, Zari and Diamond were once among the most well-known and influential couples in East Africa.

Diamond and Zari dated for about four years before splitting up on February 14, 2018, Valentine’s Day. They have two children together; Latifah Dangote, aka Tifah (daughter) and Prince Nillan.

Zari is now married to Shakib Lutaaya, alias Cham.
