Miss Tourism Uganda regional pageants conclude with stunning crownings

The regional search for Miss Tourism Uganda concluded over the weekend, as beauties from Bunyoro, West Nile, and Teso regions were crowned in spectacular events.

In the Miss Tourism Bunyoro pageant held at Hoima Buffalo Hotel, Boonabaana Babra from Hoima District emerged as the winner. The audience was treated to captivating entertainment by the Bunyoro-Kitara traditional dance group, who mesmerized with their entogoro dance.

The main event commenced around midnight when the venue was filled to capacity, and the contestants introduced themselves to an enthusiastic crowd.

Displaying their fashion talents, the participants crafted outfits inspired by tourism, using materials such as banana leaves, mats, newspapers, hides, and skins.

Meanwhile, in Soroti City, Miss Tourism Teso took place at Seffron Gardens, where Akello Alison Mary was crowned the winner. Amuge Agnes Rita and Akiror Felistus claimed the first and second runner-up positions, respectively.

West Nile also showcased its talented ladies, with Abawo Benita Annet being crowned the winner, and Lenia Lisa Teresa and Ariye Joy securing the first and second runner-up spots.

Now, all the queens from the different regions will proceed to the boot camp as they gear up for the grand finale scheduled for September 9th, 2023, at Kampala Serena Hotel. The excitement builds as they compete for the coveted title of Miss Tourism Uganda.
