District 9123 has already inaugurated the festivities at the luxurious Speake Resort in Munyonyo, that will culminate into a grand finale this Saturday, April 20th, with the illustrious Governor’s Night, themed to the great Gatsby.

Following suit, District 9214 will carry the torch with a four-day extravaganza that shall commence on Wednesday, April 24th, all the way till Saturday, April 27th.

Over 2000 Rotarians from districts 9213 and 9214, spanning Uganda and Tanzania, are expected to grace the two events.

The conference which aims to bring together Rotarians and other stakeholders to exchange ideas, share experiences and plan for the future, will also present attendees a unique opportunity for participants to savour the distinct and smooth taste of Johnnie Walker, as well as benefit from its premium experience and offerings.

At the conference, Uganda Breweries Ltd will showcase their Johnnie Walker range of whisky, that includes the iconic Johnnie Walker Black Label, the smooth and rich Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve, and the luxurious Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

Besides enjoying a steady flow of tasty cocktails, guests will have an opportunity to learn how to best enjoy their whisky through a series of mentorships that will be conducted throughout the two events.

Christine Kyokunda, the Scotch & Reserve Brand Manager at UBL, expressed her excitement about Johnnie Walker’s participation, promising Rotarians an unforgettable whisky experience steeped in the brand’s rich heritage.

“We want every Rotarian to associate every bottle of Johnnie Walker with the unparalleled experience and taste they will encounter,” she said.

UBL’s involvement in the conference underscores its commitment to supporting communities and advocating responsible alcohol consumption, aligning seamlessly with the rotary’s ethos of service above self.

Each day of the conference will be adorned with a special theme, promising a diverse array of experiences. From the laid-back rhythms of reggae headlined by Ugandan sensation Madoxx Ssematimba on day one, to a stellar performance by Vinka on day two, which will later culminate into the opulent Gatsby Night at the Governor’s Ball, with Azawi as the captivating headliner, attendees are surely in for an unforgettable celebration this year.
