Couple which had just returned to Uganda from Europe after 30 years stabbed to death in Entebbe

Police in Entebbe are investigating a double murder and suspected aggravated robbery that occurred at the residence of Mutaaga David and his wife, Mutaaga Deborah Florence, in Lugonjo Nakiwogo Cell, Entebbe Municipality, Wakiso District.

According to a police statement, on Sunday, July 6, they received information from a worker attached to the household reporting the suspected attack.

It is said that a team of officers immediately responded to the scene, and upon arrival, two bodies were discovered and later identified as Mutaaga David, a 69-year-old male, and his wife, Deborah Florence, aged 62.

A preliminary police examination, following crime scene documentation and evidence collection, indicated that both victims had sustained fatal stab wounds. Several exhibits of evidential value were recovered for forensic analysis.

Police stated that the motive behind the crime is still under investigation. The bodies were taken to the City Mortuary Mulago for postmortem examination to aid the ongoing inquiries.

Reports indicate that the couple had just returned to Uganda from Europe, where they had been living for the past 30 years.
