KCB Managing Director, Joram Kiarie

With a footprint in over seven African markets namely, Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Burundi, and Tanzania, the KCB Group has announced plans to open up a branch in the Chinese capital, Beijing.

The Bank’s Managing Director, Joram Kiarie made the revelation during the annual Customer Appreciation Dinner held at Serena Hotel.

Kiarie who sounded thankful said the only way they (KCB) can give back to their Ugandan customers is to open up a branch for them in China so as to ease business in shopping, shipping and manufactuting.

“Most of our Ugandan businesses do their shopping in China either for clothing, automobiles, phones, furniture among others. We want to make life easy for them. This is the convenient banking we are talking about,” he said.

Kiarie reiterated how the strength and potential of the bank is solely hinged on its customers.

“We are eternally grateful for the support our customers (SMEs, private bankers and government) over the years for the continued belief and trust in us over the past 11 years.”

He went on to say that the bank continues to invest in innovation, standardisation and extending their numerous service offerings to their clients countrywide.

“With 270 agency banking agents across the country, this makes it easier for our clients to reach KCB Bank without the need to walk through a banking hall”.
