The social media buzz is still on about newly crowned Miss Uganda Leah Kalanguka with many saying she is “not beautiful enough to be Miss Uganda.” Since the theme of the pageant was meant to promote agriculture, some have dubbed her “Miss Agribusiness Uganda.”
Well, we have landed on news of another new kind of beauty flying the Uganda flag. Her name is Esther Nakitende and she is really big – what many in our Matooke Republic refer to as Mega Bonus. But don’t fret because she will represent Uganda at the Miss Plus Size Universe in Trinidad and Tobago between December 30 and January 4 next year. It is a beauty contest to celebrate the plus size sisters.
In this world where girls starve themselves to near death in the name of being skinny, Esther is comfortable with her size and wears tops with words like “I am confident with my curves.” She is big and bold and she is a plus size model in Canada where she is based.
