Anne Kansiime is surely Uganda’s biggest comedy export on the African continent. It is full house wherever she performs on the continent and Botswana was no exception when the comedienne performed there on Friday night.
The funny girl from Kabale performed at the Molapo Crossing Plaza in the Botswana capital of Gaborone.
Kansiime was overwhelmed and she said the Batswana people treated her like a diamond – the country’s biggest export.
“Botswana truly is the land of diamonds. The Batswana have truly made me feel like one,” Kansiime posted on her Facebook wall, shortly after her performance.
She attributes her success that came after comedy skits became a Youtube viral sensation is to God.
“God’s love has a way of over whelming me for sure. Botswana just showered me with all their love. The Bible surely doesn’t tell lies. First seek the kingdom of the Lord and the rest shall follow. Today, God showed up for me in Botswana,” she said after the show.
Kansiime is the most popular Ugandan celebrity on social media with more than 500,000 Facebook page likes and 149,000 subscribers on Youtube.
