Gen. Mega Dee retreated from the musical battlefield and surrendered to kyeyo in the US.
Many have been asking where he is. Naye Ugandans are funny. You refuse to attend a man’s album launches, laugh at the photos of the plastic chairs he sings to and then when he decides to run you start asking where he is. You want to keep laughing at him.
Anyway, Mega Dee has been in the US over the past few years and unconfirmed reports state that he is a cab driver among other jobs.
The “retired” singing general resurfaced at the Busoga Twegaite convention that was held in Minnesota. Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga and Miss Uganda Leah Kalanguka were among the notable Basoga in attendance, but Mega Dee couldn’t have enough of Kalanguka as he kept by her side on all days of the weekend.
Mega Dee has not given up on his music dream and he recently released a new song Bawuna Kungeya, singing about how people keep “back biting” him even when he is not around.
