bebe vote

Singer Bebe Cool’s Love You Everyday was nominated in the Video Of The Year category in the MTV Africa Music Video Awards on Thursday. Bebe Cool and his Gagamel Phamily launched a campaign, calling on fans of all musicians to vote for Uganda.

However, fans of his arch rival Bobi Wine have rejected the call and instead launched a counter-campaign to vote for Nigeria’s Wiz Kid in the same category.

“Dnt tell me about ‪#‎patriotism;
1. the same Bebe Cool called Kenzo an upcoming wen Kenzo was nominated in international awards n nvr told anybody to vote Kenzo, he instead jst dissed him.
2. Last year the same Bebe Cool de campaigned a Ugandan big brother housemate. Was that patriotism?? Kati naffe katulonde omu nigeria. Let bebe cool hv a taste of his own medicine.
3. All these pipo makin noise and tellin us to vote Bebe Cool, why didn’t they show d same love to kenzo wen he was nominated?? Mu uganda waliwo abaana ne zaana?? Whr hv they always been wen Navio nd Radio & Weasel were nominated in international awards?? Why didn’t. They come out to mobilize like they are doin now??
ZAABIKE EMIPIIRA,” Bobi’s fan who goes by the Facebook name Senior Ronnie Kawonawo posted.

“Bebe Cool is like a politician who only comes into the constituency to ask for votes and wen he successfully wins the elections, he doesn’t come back not until wen his term is finished den he comes back to ask for more votes,” Joseph Washington said.

Bebe Love You Everyday

But Bebe Cool’s legion on fans shot back at Bobi’s fans.

“And when will your artiste be nominated kyogamba ye tayagala international acolades?? Munsessa munkwassa enakku swallow your pride and vote for the best in town koz he reigns,” Ndaula Curtis said.

“Small minded friends. Is bebe cool the only artist in Uganda??? If not, Why others have not been nominated???? You who think Bebe don’t deserve your vote keep it for your beloved artist and let’s hope he will one time get his chance to lift our flag he higher but remember we live by the present not the present past of the Future and Bebe is the present. Vote now,” Muswangali Faruk said.

Some critics believe that Bobi Wine’s fans de-campaigning Bebe Cool are only increasing awareness for potential voters who didn’t know that Bebe Cool was nominated.
