I have been waiting patiently for the world to recognise me -Sheebah overwhelmed by MTV Video of the Year nomination

Sheebah just got noticed by the continent.

Sheebah Karungi is on a musical rollercoaster ride. She is rules the dancefloor in Uganda, realising hit song after hit song, and now the world is beginning to take notice.



Sheebah has just been nominated in the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) in the best video category for her Kisasi Kimu single and she couldn’t hold back the tears of joy.

“Wow! This is so overwhelming! I have been patiently waiting for a moment like this for a very long time! when the World starts recognizing our work!!! @bornsolucky,” she said upon receiving the good news.

Sheebah admitted that she is still shedding tears of joy.

“I keep tearing up every time I look at this Nomination.. I am beyond honored! Thank you @mtvmamas for recognizing me and my works!!”

She asked her fans to vote so that she brings the award home.

“Sheebaholics, WE’ve got to bring this home! Lets vote, vote , vote and keep voting!! We are here now!! We made it to the #MAMAs!! Thank you God! #MAMAVote + #KisasiKimu + #VideoOfTheYear” she said.
