After a successful debut at the Uganda Golf Club last month, the Tusker Malt Music Lounge continued its entertainment streak by going all out at Nexus Bar and Grill last night.

The Najjera-based hangout was the second stop for the Music Lounge, hosting Janzi
Band in a celebration of music that left revellers elated, dancing the night away to the
soothing tunes from the band.

The band also gave revellers a chance at the microphone that saw many walk away
with Tusker Malt goodies closing the night merrymaking in a musical bliss.

With nine years of musical experience under its belt, Janzi Band is an Afro-fusion,
contemporary and world music inspired youthful group that has matured into a
mainstream act over time and now ranks as one of the best in the country.

The band will be playing at different venues all over the country once a month for a
year while giving people a musical experience of the Tusker Malt Music Lounge.

It will also be promoting its latest album Eka and playing some of the hits on the
album, including songs like Africa, Just a dream, Ngaali, Njabala and River Road
among others.

“As Tusker Malt Lager we want to share the best that music has to offer with the
public, and Janzi Band has few peers in that regard. There isn’t a better way to celebrate our consumers for their support than through great music and good beer,” said Estella
Muzito, Head of Beer at Uganda Breweries Limited.

The Tusker Malt Music Lounge is a monthly musical event that features Janzi Band
performances at selected outlets across the country. These performances are a way
of giving back to the public and will be going on for a year.
