Television personality and events organizer Douglas Lwanga is currently in the Middle Eastern earthly paradise of Dubai, which happens to be Lwanga’s first time to set foot in the city where most East Africans with some money go to unwind and refresh. The newsworthy aspect of Lwanga’s ongoing stay in Dubai, however, is that the popular TV star is displaying a lot of ‘maalo’ (call it rural-urban excitement of a person who has just moved from the countryside to the city) upon finally getting to the wonder city of the Arab world.

An excited Douglas Lwanga leaps high up in the dry air of Dubai.

Since getting to Dubai, Lwanga has been excitedly posting on his Twitter to announce that that he is in that area code, and his excessive excitement can be read from the posts.

Douglas takes a walk around the exquisite neighbourhoods of Dubai.

In the first post, a video, Lwanga shows himself standing against the background of towering skyscrapers, and as the camera rotates around showing the buildings you can see Lwanga give off a look of self-satisfaction as if to say, “Yeah, I’m here, I’ve finally made it in life.”

In another post the excitement is rather low as he is passionately holding his girlfriend and baby-mama Linda Lisa Mukasa, but then in another post the excitement shoots beyond the roof as Lwanga, in purple, leaps into the air like a calf that has just had a taste of fresh grass. He accompanies the picture with a mention of where exactly he is: “Walking with your brand, PurplePartyTour, Everywhere I go: Nikki Beach Hotel D.U.B.A.I
