Wasswa Mubarak is a 27-year-old actor and business consultant who refuses to let his nature hold him back from pursuing his dreams.

Wasswa was ‘thrust’ into the public eye after his graduation photos went viral on social media this year, with many people mistaking him for a young child in a graduation gown.

According to Wasswa, the condition, causes him to remain small even as he grows as a result of his taking toxic substances.

“My mother informed me that I ate a toxic substance during my childhood. As a result, it was communicated to us that this incident could have an impact on genes and subsequently affected my growth,” said Wasswa while appearing on NTV’s Mwasuze Mutya show.

However, Wasswa refuses to let his nature hold him back from pursuing his dreams. He was a students leader during his time at Makerere University Business School Jinja Campus.

“I was the longest-serving Prime Minister at the University for a period of two years because, during my tenure, the country had to face some significant impacts due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In February of this year, I graduated from my academic program,” said Wasswa.

He holds a degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.

Despite having formal employment as he is the Marketing Manager of Butumwa Agro-processors, Wasswa also dreams of becoming a popular movie actor.

He has already been featured in several movies.

“I am always given roles as a stubborn boy,” he said.

Wasswa’s role model is Nigerian actor Iheme Osita, popularly known as Paw Paw from Aki And Paw Paw a classic Nigerian Movie.

He believes that disability is not inability and urges everyone to fight the negativity and stigma of being different.

Meanwhile, Wasswa is single and searching.

“I would love someone as tall as my twin sister and not overly big. While I do not have a preference for colour, I would love someone who is a good communicator and able to understand me well,” he said.
