Fun Factory marked its 20th anniversary with a bang at Serena Hotel, hosting “The Big Sunday Comedy Show,” a night of pure comedic joy. Sponsored by Uganda Waragi, this event brought together an eclectic mix of musicians, academics, news anchors, and comedians, resulting in an enjoyable performance.

The evening began as early as 6 p.m., with guests already settled in their seats, enjoying live music by the Janzi band. The band’s melodies set the perfect tone as attendees savoured cocktails made with Uganda Waragi.

The comedy extravaganza kicked off with a skit centered around a village fundraiser, featuring Phillip Luswata, Dickson Zzizinga, Veronica Namanda, and others who elicited continuous laughter from the audience throughout the performance.

Following this, the audience was treated to a rural school poem skit performed by Simon Kalema, Richard Tuwangye, and Evelyn Kemizinga, adding to the laughter and amusement.

Fun Factory cast continued to entertain with meticulously crafted skits that explored a variety of scenarios, including Hajji and his wives, Ganja family and the local bar culture, leaving the audience in stitches.

Hillary Baguma, the Brand Manager of Mainstream Spirits at Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL), shared, “Uganda Waragi exists to celebrate all things authentically Ugandan, and comedy is one of the ways we achieve this. We believe that milestones like these reflect the industry’s creativity and its potential for long-term impact. It is through such partnerships that Uganda Waragi continues to celebrate and connect with its consumers.”

The entire Fun Factory cast, along with Teacher Mpamire, Anne Kansiime, and stand-up comedian Dr. Hillary Okello, delivered an unforgettable anniversary experience. The event concluded with a captivating performance by vocalist Naava Grey.

For many, the Big Sunday Show provided the ideal way to unwind on a chilly Sunday evening, offering laughter and entertainment.
