Deejay Bugy to Lite up Motiv this Saturday

The last time Deejay Bugy took to the decks, his electrifying set lit up social media, leaving many wondering how they’d missed out on the experience. Ahead of his next edition this Saturday at Motiv in Kampala, fans have begun resharing clips from past shows—this time with a warning: don’t be the one watching videos after the night, be there to live it.

Tusker Lite, whose neon glow has become a big part of Kampala’s party scene, will add to that energy; at previous editions, the sight of neon glasses, fluorescent lights, UV black lights, or a raised green bottle added to the ambiance; it is almost a toast to good music and good company.

Born Pius Buguzi, Deejay Bugy is a vibrant entertainer who breaks most of the known rules of the game to create his own experience, which is basically the dare attitude which Tusker Lite represents.

Aptly titled The Bugy Show, this Saturday, Deejay Bugy will not only cement himself onto the scene but will take audiences on a journey through song; known for fusing Afro-house, amapiano, and electronic sounds with Ugandan flair, Buggy’s sets have earned him a reputation for turning music into a full-blown cultural moment.

In a city with a thriving and ever-evolving nightlife, few DJs have managed to carve out a distinct identity the way Buggy has. His sets aren’t just playlists — they are nostalgic sessions, sometimes layering classic Ugandan hits over thumping basslines or teasing the crowd with unexpected drops.

At Motiv, an industrial-chic creative hub known for its art-meets-pop vibe, the stage will be set for an immersive experience that blurs the line between performance and party. The venue’s raw energy and artistic audience have become a perfect match for events such as Buggy’s. “Motiv isn’t just a venue,” he once said in an interview. “It’s a feeling — you feed off the crowd, and they feed off you.”

Over the years, Tusker Lite shined a light on people whose individuality can’t be boxed; creatives and people who are doing things differently.

“Tusker Lite is about living life your way — light, easy, and full of good energy,” says Denise Nazzinda, Tusker Lite Brand Manager. “Deejay Buggy’s events capture that perfectly. It’s not just about the music; it’s about creating moments that feel effortless but unforgettable.”

With Buggy at the helm, partygoers can expect a fusion of sound, light, and emotion that pushes beyond the ordinary club experience. And if the social media chatter is anything to go by, this weekend’s event could easily become Kampala’s next trending moment.

In a digital age where so many experiences are consumed through screens, Buggy’s shows remind revelers of the power of presence — of being part of something unfolding in real time. As Saturday approaches, one message continues to echo across social media: don’t watch this one through someone else’s camera.
