Kampala will join a growing global circuit of Aprtment Life events as the music and lifestyle experience makes its Ugandan debut this Saturday, October 10.
This follows recent stops in different cities including Paris and Cape Town, and Nairobi who are hosting the Kenya edition today.
Ganda Vibes, in partnership with Don Julio, the world’s first luxury tequila, and global celebratory whisky- Johnnie Walker, have teamed up to organise the Kampala edition this Saturday, at Motiv Bugolobi, giving local audiences their first chance to experience the internationally travelled concept this Independence weekend.
Aprtment Life has built a following through its blend of music, creative expression and curated social experiences, moving across cities and bringing together different sounds and creative communities.
The platform has featured notable artists and creatives including Nigerian Afrobeats star Omah Lay, American rapper Wale, Daddy Chulo, DJ Money, and Ella Knight, among others.
At the centre of the experience is Parismatiq, a DJ and creative associated with Aprtment Life, whose sets have become part of the platform’s musical identity. Kampala’s edition will have him joined by local DJ- Vanss.
Judie Nandekya, Senior Brand Manager, Tequila and Rum, East Africa, expressed that, for Don Julio, the partnership is an opportunity to create experiences where they can connect with consumers through music, culture, and premium social experiences, in new settings.
“Don Julio is always looking for new ways to connect with consumers through experiences that reflect how they live, socialise and enjoy music. Bringing Aprtment Life to Kampala allows us to be part of a global creative experience while creating a distinctly Ugandan moment through the people, music and their energy.”
Christine Kyokunda, Johnnie Walker East Africa Brand Manager, said the partnership reflects Johnnie Walker’s interest in the different creative and cultural expressions shaping Africa’s contemporary culture.
“Through platforms such as Afro Exchange, Johnnie Walker continues to explore and celebrate the creative and cultural pillars that shape how people experience Africa today, from music and fashion to food, sport and beyond. Aprtment Life brings together many of these expressions through music and community, making it a natural fit for us. We are excited to bring this global experience to Kampala and see how our own creative community makes it its own.”
The evening will also feature Don Julio cocktails and bottle service, adding the brand’s signature tequila experience to the night.
Aprtment Life Kampala will take place at Motiv Bugolobi from 8pm to 2am. Guests have been encouraged to embrace the event’s understated aesthetic, with the dress code centred on neutral shades including beige, cream, sand, oat and light brown.
Tickets are selling out fast, and packages include Classic access which goes for Shs 125k while Group classic access goes for Shs 100K. They are available through https://qkt.io/aprtmentlife.
With Kampala becoming the latest stop on Aprtment Life’sinternational journey, the event will bring a global music and lifestyle concept to Uganda while giving local audiences a new way to experience Independence weekend.
