Hotel bookings in Jinja are surging as the annual Nyege Nyege Festival approaches, with many of the town’s top accommodations reporting full occupancy from November 14 to 17. This highly anticipated event is known to bring thousands of visitors to Jinja, boosting local businesses across various sectors, including hotels, restaurants, transport, and adventure services like quad biking and bungee jumping.

Adding to this year’s excitement, all hotels will greet guests with complimentary shots of Uganda Waragi Lemon and Ginger upon check-in, thanks to a new partnership with the brand, which also serves as the festival’s title sponsor. The initiative aims to offer visitors a warm taste of Uganda’s spirit, enhancing the celebration of Nyege Nyege and spotlighting a key part of Uganda’s cultural identity.

Francis Nyende, Marketing Manager of Mainstream Spirits at Uganda Breweries, expressed the brand’s excitement about the partnership. “Jinja is renowned for its vibrant hospitality and thrilling adventures, and what better way to highlight that than with a taste of Uganda’s premium spirit, Uganda Waragi Lemon and Ginger,” he said. “We want every guest, whether local or international, to feel the warmth and energy of our country as soon as they arrive in Jinja. Nothing says ‘welcome’ like a shot of Uganda Waragi Lemon and Ginger.”
