Uganda is currently hosting the 27th Annual Conference of the Association of Medical Councils of Africa (AMCOA) at Speke Resort Munyonyo, drawing delegates from over 13 African countries.

The event kicked off on July 27 and will conclude today. It has brought together medical regulatory authorities, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders to deliberate on advancing healthcare regulation under the theme “Regulator 2.0 | The Balanced Approach.”

While opening the conference, Health Minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng emphasised that healthcare systems must put patients first while also safeguarding the welfare of health workers.
