The landmark four-day event, which kicked off today will be running until October 10, 2025. It’s bringing together youth leaders, policymakers, and innovators from across Africa and the Arab world under the theme “Amplifying Youth Voices for Peace, Unity and Prosperity.”

President Yoweri Museveni is expected to preside over the closing ceremony on Friday, October 10.

The congress is projected to attract more than 1,000 delegates, including youth ministers, development partners, and regional leaders. Among the dignitaries expected are the Deputy President of Kenya and youth ministers from Libya, the United Arab Emirates, and other member states.

The Afro-Arab Youth Congress serves as a global platform for fostering dialogue, innovation, and partnership among young people from Africa and the Arab world to advance peace, unity, and development.

Established in 2004 in Khartoum, Sudan, following the inaugural Afro-Arab Youth Festival that drew over 3,000 participants, the AAYC has evolved into a vital movement addressing shared challenges such as youth unemployment, education, and social inclusion.

As host, Speke Resort Munyonyo offers an ideal setting for the prestigious conference. With world-class facilities, luxurious accommodation, and a scenic lakeside view, the resort remains a preferred venue for major continental and global summits.

Boasting the largest conference halls in East and Central Africa, the resort provides the perfect environment for an event of such scale and diversity.

Beyond the conference, guests will have access to exceptional amenities, including the Speke Gym equipped with state-of-the-art fitness facilities, the Calabash Spa and Salon offering premium wellness treatments, and an Olympic-standard swimming pool—all reflecting the resort’s hallmark of luxury, comfort, and elegance.
