Speke Resort Munyonyo, Uganda’s leading lakeside conference destination, has successfully hosted the Midterm Review Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Ministers of Foreign Affairs. The high-level gathering, which began on Monday, concluded today with calls for greater global cooperation and shared prosperity.

Held under the theme “Deepening Cooperation for Shared Global Affluence,” the meeting brought together foreign ministers, senior diplomats, and representatives from NAM Member States, Observer Countries, and international organisations. Delegates engaged in discussions on strengthening multilateralism, promoting peace, and advancing sustainable development.

In his address on Wednesday, President Yoweri Museveni — who currently chairs the Non-Aligned Movement — urged the international community to prioritise mutually beneficial cooperation over ideological rivalry and domination.

The resort boasts East and Central Africa’s largest conference facilities, luxurious accommodation, and world-class amenities including the Calabash Spa and Salon, Speke Gym, and an Olympic-size swimming pool.
