The Tusker Lite Neon Run has been rescheduled to May 8 2026, giving participants additional time to prepare for one of the most vibrant events on Uganda’s social fitness calendar.

Originally slated for April 10, the shift in date comes as organisers fine tune plans to deliver an even more electrifying experience.

Organised under the theme ‘Ignite the Lite,’ the night run, which marks a return after a long hiatus, remains a standout event as the only after-dark race in the Tusker Lite Runs series.

Runners will compete in two categories: 5KM and 10KM, with both routes starting and ending at Circuit Lounge in Kololo, one of Kampala’s most upscale suburbs.

According to route designer- Julius Nkuraija, the postponement has provided valuable time to enhance both safety and the overall race experience. He noted that the courses have been carefully mapped out to ensure smooth flow and participant enjoyment.

Juklius Nkuraija, the race director.

“The postponement has given us enough time to refine every detail,” Nkuraija explained. “The routes for both races have been carefully designed with runners in mind.”

Tusker Lite Brand Manager, Sandra Againe emphasized that while the date has changed, the essence of the Neon Run remains intact. She highlighted the brand’s commitment to delivering high energy experiences that go beyond traditional running events.
