The Chaapa League, powered by Guinness, returns this Sunday, April 12th after a short break, with Matchday 4 lined up to deliver a defining round of fixtures at NEC Grounds in Bugolobi, Kampala.

The schedule opens with a set of early kick-offs, headlined by Rugabo’s clash against Kyangabukama as the former chase a fourth straight victory. Having been flawless so far, Rugabo are quickly establishing themselves as early title contenders, and anything less than another win would open the door for rivals.

The other morning game is between Kataara and Ezekyeenda. Both teams are yet to register a win this season; hence, this fixture presents a long-awaited opportunity for one of the teams to finally get points on the board.

The midday fixtures keep the pressure on teams looking to steady their campaigns. Sikukulu meet Ty Sheldon, while Burdizo take on Omutaji, with all four sides aware that dropped points at this stage could prove costly in an increasingly tight table.

Attention then shifts to the afternoon clashes where, among others, SeeFar, one of the more consistent sides so far, come up against Unruly. CHOGM also face Ruharo, with both teams seeking momentum after mixed starts.

By mid-afternoon, the stakes rise further. Table leaders SC Rwizi will be in action against X Convicts, knowing that their perfect start has made them the team to beat.

Elsewhere, Karasande take on Mutakoha in a fixture that could significantly reshape the mid-table standings.

One of the standout ties of the day arrives later as defending champions Yobo Yobo face Dingiswayo. The title holders, currently perfect and division joint leaders, have picked up where they left off last season and will be keen to maintain their strong start against a Dingiswayo side that has won once and drawn twice in their last three games.

Bulls Old Timers, also firmly in the early title conversation, take on Akajju as they look to keep pace. Rugabo and Holistics will cap the outing.

The league continues to benefit from the backing of Guinness, whose presence is set to further enhance the matchday atmosphere.

“Following the short break, we’re excited to see the Chaapa League return. I’ve seen the fixtures, and it promises to be an exciting Matchday.

As Guinness, we are proud to power this platform and elevate the experience for fans, bringing together great football, great moments, and the bold spirit that defines the brand,” Denise Nazzinda, the Guinness Brand Manager at Uganda Breweries, said.

The outing will also include a live DJ set and a Guinness Matchday experience, with revelers set to enjoy a Premier League Super Sunday clash between Chelsea and Manchester City on the big screen.
