Kololo Independence Grounds came alive over the weekend as thousands of motorsport enthusiasts, families and adventure seekers flocked to the NCBA Auto Show for three days of speed, precision driving and automotive innovation.

The annual motoring festival transformed the grounds into a spectacle of roaring engines and screeching tyres as professional drivers thrilled crowds with daring drift exhibitions, gymkhana demonstrations and gravity-defying driving stunts. Every burst of acceleration and perfectly executed slide drew cheers from spectators, creating an electric atmosphere that lasted throughout the weekend.

For three days, revelers and car enthusiasts got a feel of different machines, which some people called toys and got a chance to sit in them, and take pictures for their social media platforms. Some just wanted to touch the machines while there were many really curious about the cars thus had more than excitement.

Away from the performance arena, visitors explored an extensive display of vehicles ranging from luxury dream cars and rugged off-road machines to timeless vintage classics. Leading motor dealers showcased their latest models, while automotive technology companies, insurers and financial institutions engaged visitors with new innovations and vehicle financing solutions.

Complementing the action was the Tusker Lite Pitstop Lounge, which became one of the event’s busiest meeting points. While it offered fans a chance to catch their breath between the high-octane exhibitions, the space also carried an important message.

Conversations that started around engines, braking systems and vehicle performance naturally evolved into discussions about responsible road use, with Tusker Lite championing responsible drinking and reminding motorists that the safest journey begins with separating drinking from driving.

Speaking during the event, the Tusker Lite Brand Manager said the partnership with the Auto Show was about creating memorable experiences while encouraging responsible choices.

“The NCBA Auto Show perfectly brings together people who appreciate performance, innovation and premium experiences, values that align with Tusker Lite. Through the Pitstop Lounge, we wanted to create more than just a place to relax. It became a space where conversations about vehicles and performance also reinforced the importance of responsible drinking, reminding motorists that if you’re driving, don’t drink. We believe the best experiences are the ones everyone gets home safely from,” Sandra Againe, the brand manager said.

As daylight faded on Sunday, the atmosphere shifted from the roar of engines to the passion of football. Giant screens lit up for the FIFA World Cup final, where supporters of Spain and Argentina packed into the viewing area, replacing the sound of revving engines with chants, songs and nervous anticipation. Every attack, save and near miss was met with deafening cheers, capping off a weekend in which motoring excitement seamlessly gave way to the world’s biggest football spectacle.

From daring drifts and gleaming automotive displays to spirited football celebrations, the Auto Show delivered a weekend that celebrated speed, community and entertainment in equal measure.
