In olden times, a visiting head of meant fanfare, with locals lining the streets of Entebbe to welcome the dignitary. But now, some Ugandans are wishing we don’t receive any visitors after the inconvenience the visiting South Korean Head of State Ms  Park Geun–hye has caused.

Movement on Entebbe Road has been a nightmare with traffic halted for several hours to allow VIP convoys way! Some people who must head to Entebbe or Kampala have resorted to using short cuts in the villages, but it hasn’t been a smooth sailing as the traffic jam has moved to the village murram roads, which are also not in good shape.

He could pay anything for a boda boda to take him to the airport, but there was none in sight.

Those heading to Entebbe Airport to fly out of the country have resorted to using boda bodas, and some have even decided to make the journey on foot.

Commuters who rely on public means are also stranded as taxis that usually ferry them have kept off Entebbe Road.

The interruptions are on till Wednesday June 1. Police has advised people to use alternative routes if they must go to Entebbe.
