Lent is here and since this country is predominantly Christian (at least statistically), many will be expected to fast. Trust me Ugandans don’t seem the kind that practice their faith but lent is the right time to get things right for your faith.

1. Selfies

Many of you are so addicted to selfies. For this one month of lent, please spare us your photos. We are focused on finding the face of the Lord and not to entertain your self esteem struggles through likes or retweets.

2. S3x

If you are not married nor planning to meet costs of keeping a woman happily without the  cassava, please fast from heading to the garden. It is better you keep off the garden.

3. Alcohol

You may feel tempted to say Christ himself turned water to wine. Yes, you want to defend your drunken ways but Christ was not drunk while in the desert. If you have debts at the bar or was recently beaten at the bar, please fast from alcohol.

4. Rolex

Campus guys lent is about giving up what you love the most and we know its rolex.

5. Twerk

Dance in a holy way please. Just raise your hands and give thanks to the Lord. Keep your butts on the seat.

6. Swearing

For once lets keep our words clean and free from the stains of swearing and other negative words.

7. Cheating

Have you been cheating way too much? This lent be more faithful and you never know the STDs may reduce.

8. Lying

No lie about that.

9. Procrastination.

Let’s do things we have planned for and work them out. Its the third month of the year already.

10. Social media

Can you handle that? Instead of reading status updates, why don’t you read the Bible instead. Come and taste and see how good the Lord is. Amen.
