Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, who was brutally manhandled by police outside his home, was at Uganda Human Rights Commission – UHRC offices this morning to file a complaint against the Police Force.

He stated that the Police dehumanized him during the arrest. He confirmed that the Police indeed squeezed his private parts during the arrest.

“What pains me most is that I’ve been dehumanized, I’ve been a subject of ridicule. It pains me, it has gone deep into my heart. I was charged with unlawfully assembly outside my home and I was not given an opportunity to seek medical attention”, he stated.
