MP Zaake faces impeachment from his position as Commissioner of Parliament
Parliament has begun a process to remove opposition Commissioner of Parliament Hon Zaake Francis from his position for allegedly abusing Deputy Speaker Anita Among.
Over 200 members of parliament have signed a notice of motion seeking to remove the Mityana Municipality MP from his position as a Commissioner of Parliament.
By the close of business at Parliament on Thursday, 217 MPs had signed in favor of impeaching Zaake from the office.
Mabirizi in running battle with judiciary
On Wednesday, City Lawyer Hassan Mabirizi Male was sentenced to 18 months in prison by Justice Musa Ssekaana for contempt of court.
This followed a protracted battle Mabirizi has been embroiled in with the judge. This also followed Mabirizi’s failure to pay Shs300m fine to Ssekaana.
Last week, Ssekaana summoned Mabirizi to appear in court to show cause why he should not be committed to civil prison over contempt of court.
The controversial lawyer did not appear before the court but instead hired lawyer Noel Nuwe of Ojok and Company Advocates to represent him.
Mabirizi who is yet to be arrested contested the conviction. According to Mabirizi, the ruling is not a surprise to him.

God’s Plan, Rickman fight over Sheilah Gashumba
Ex-lover to NBS After5 show presenter Sheilah Gashumba, Ali Marcus Lwanga a.k.a God’s Plan came out this week and labeled Sheilah’s current boyfriend Rickman a ‘snake’ for ‘stealing’ his girlfriend.
God’s Plan went on with a series of rants against Sheilah and Rickman. He revealed that Rickman used to camp at his apartment, pretending to be his good friend yet he was plotting to steal his lover. He also disclosed secrets about his ex-lover and threatened to end her career by spilling more dirty secrets.
He accused Sheilah of sleeping around with other men some of whom are Ugandan top celebrities.
Rickman also hit back at God’s Plan saying that one has to either be having money or talent to maintain someone like Sheila Gashumba.
“Talent Or Money, you have to have one of the two or else you will end up doing throwbacks when the world is on for tomorrow. If you have both , A++,”Rickman posted on his page.
Express FC sack Head Coach Wasswa Bbosa
Reigning StarTimes Uganda Premier League and CECAFA Club Cup Champions Express Football Club on Monday announced the departure of their Head Coach Wasswa Bbosa with immediate effect.
This is the second time that Bbosa, a former holding midfielder at Express FC, is unceremoniously shown the exit by the bosses at Wankulukuku.
James Odoch replaced Bbosa in an interim capacity.
