A yet-to-be identified tycoon has changed the face of Nsambya hill with a four-star hotel named Mestil Hotel and Residences. A visit to the hotel made us believe that there is nothing money can’t do.

A few years back, the place was a residence of wives and children of Police. When the residences were demolished, the government promised to construct a factory that will provide employment. However, everything has changed.

Rumour has it that the owner of Jaguar Buses is behind this great state of art Hotel. According to the general Manager Sven, he says Mestil Hotels and Residence is the first of its kind in the whole of Africa and is here to give Kampala top hotels a run for their money.

“ Our prices and menu will be so different and affordable. Mestil is the first of its kind in Africa. It is going to cater for all kinds of people and  I am sure Ugandans will love the experience here once visited,” Sven said during a media tour at the hotel.
