Bebe boda1He has a Hummer with Big Size personalised plates and he bought his wife Zuena a Mercedes Benz as a Valentine’s Day gift last February, so it was shocking for us to see Bebe Cool taking  boda boda ride on Kampala Road on Saturday.

Using boda bodas is the easiest way of getting around Kampala’s mad traffic, but celebrities usually shun using these bikes and they would rather be late. So it was shocking when we saw Munene Munene on a boda boda.

But like many things are not exactly what they seem, Bebe Cool was just having a joy ride and it was free of charge. Not that the singer didn’t have money to pay, but a fan offered to give him a free ride and Bebe Cool obliged.

The boda man was one of the many spectators that came to see the singer donating blood during a Crane Bank blood donation drive on Saturday.

“I felt like doing something good for my country this morning and as I was driving off to my rehearsals I happened to bump into a blood donation campaign organised by CRANE BANK at City Square on Kampala Road. I stopped and donated blood. Fellow responsible citizens of Uganda, kindly donate blood because our brothers and sisters need it and you might need it too,” the singer who is gearing up for his Friends Of Bebe Cool concert due this Friday August 7 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
