Comedian Anne Kansiime’s 2016 didn’t end on a very good note! We gather the comedy star’s Naalya-based hangout- Kubby’s, was broken into by thieves just a few days after Christmas.
We were informed that the thieves broke into the store of the bar and made off with TVs, music equipment, and bottles of whisky among other things. Meanwhile, by the time of the robbery, both Kansiime and fiancé Ojok aka Oj were away for the festivities. However, OJ rushed back to Kampala and opened up a case of robbery at Kira Division Police Station.
Police investigators were seen surveying the premises on December 28. We were reliably informed that the police arrested three workers on the same day and detained them for a night.
The workers were however released the following day on police bond. Oj immediately went shopping and replaced all that was taken and the bar was up and running as we ushered in the new year.
