“Sheebah is our blood sister and her true name is Samari Njagala Karungi and before our father died he told me how he had cursed the singer. He had also disowned her as his daughter,” he said.

Furthermore, Swaibu added that Sheebah left her father’s home when she was only nine years and started living with her mother and ever since then, they have never met again.

Sheebah’s paternal aunties revealed to the media that the dress code of the singer landed her in trouble. They said in Islam faith it is a taboo to dress skimpily and be in and out of bars. Some of Sheebah’s siblings are furious and want the singer to drop their family name that was given to her by their fallen father.

“Let her come home officially and declare that the name our father gave her is dropped. We don’t want also to associate with her. We also don’t need anything from. Let her keep her fame and money. She has ashamed our family enough. Some time back, she came home to bury a relative and she only stayed in her car”, one of the sisters spoke to the media.

Swaibu added that he tried personally to reconcile Sheebah and their father but the singer swore never to forgive her father for refusing to look after her and failing to pay her school fees.
