Renowned traditional healer Sylvia (Sophia) Namutebi alias Maama Fina has come to rescue of weightlifter Julius Ssekitoleko.

Ssekitoleko who went missing in Japan after his dreams of taking part in the Tokyo Olympics were shuttered, has been reportedly struggling financially as he sold his bike to raise funds for his pregnant wife before he left for Tokyo, Japan.

However, the funds were not enough as the wife was evicted from the rental due to accumulated rent fees.

Known for always ‘bailing out’ several struggling Ugandans with cash relief, Maama Fina has done the same for Ssekitoleko. She has given him a new Bajaj Boxer accompanied with Shs2 million as capital to start a side business.

On forced return to Uganda a week ago, Ssekitoleko was arrested and detained by police for six days before he was released on police bond. However, no charges have been brought against him.
