Jamal Wasswa may not have released new music in over five years, but it sounds like he’s preparing his vocals for a major comeback.

During his illustrious career in the late 2000s, Jamal recorded hit songs like Obawuwo, Kangende, Abakyala Bazira, and siste among other songs.

Since then, Jamal’s career has experienced its ups and downs. However, it seems safe to say that Jamal is entering a new phase of his life, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for the star.

While speaking in an interview recently, the singer claimed that he had been in Uganda and abroad on a music break, trying to give himself more time to relax and think big.

The ‘Ladies’ wine’ explained that taking a music break happens in the music industry, and he is no exception.

Yes, I am back with mega projects, “he said. “We need that break to think and create good projects and come back better for our fans.”

According to Jamal, he has already finished eight songs and is still compiling more good music.

“I can promise you that I have rested enough. I want to give Ugandans new albums. I have more music for them, “he said.

The “Abakyala Bazira” singer also revealed that fans should expect most of his soon-to-be-released songs to be about women. He added that he is inspired by day-to-day life and the environment he lives in.

“I use my music to fight abuse against women, and my job is to see a society that embraces gender equality, hence bringing out the truth. I do reality music, not fiction, “he explained.

The singer bragged that he is not scared of the new amazing talents in the industry.

“My music doesn’t need a lot of work. Good lyrical content and good production are the biggest plans. Speaking of talent, I have an amazing talent too, so I believe it won’t be hard to dominate the airwaves again, “Jamal said.

He added, “Well, I have nothing else I do besides my music. It’s what gives me pleasure and it’s a gift that God has given me.”
