Singer Beenie Gunter, whose real name is Crescent Baguma, has been released from a detention centre in Abu Dhabi. However, he has been barred from leaving the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The singer, known for the song ‘Tubaayo,’ has also been fined 5,000 dirhams by Abu Dhabi authorities (about Shs5 million) as a condition for his release. The singer is set to reappear before the court on Monday, January 29, 2024.

However, an incident unfolded in Abu Dhabi when Beenie Gunter got into a scuffle with event promoters.

The altercation attracted the attention of local authorities, especially as the property at the bar where the incident occurred was reportedly vandalized. The bar owner is now seeking compensation for the damages resulting from the scuffle.”
