Ugandan singer Gen Mega Dee, born Amos Kigenyi, has reached an extraordinary milestone—he’s now a certified doctor in the United States. Known for his music career in the 2000s, the former musician has traded the stage for scrubs, officially earning the title of “Doctor.”

Gen Mega Dee’s journey toward this achievement began in 2017 when he relocated to the U.S. with a new ambition: to build a career in healthcare. Starting with a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, which he completed in 2021, he didn’t stop there. He continued his studies, earning further qualifications that now allow him to practice as a doctor.

The singer-turned-doctor shared the exciting news on social media, writing, “Today! 10/30/2024, I am officially DR. KIGENYI AMOS after completing all academic requirements with distinction! IT HAS BEEN GOD, FAMILY, DISCIPLINE, AND HARD WORK.”
