Comedian Patrick Salvado has finally opened up about his wife, Daphine Frankstock’s relocation to Canada, dismissing rumours of marital trouble and confirming that she is thriving abroad.

Speculation had swirled in 2024 that Daphine had abandoned Salvado and their children in search of greener pastures. But the comedian has clarified that the move was a joint decision aimed at ensuring her personal fulfilment.

“Greener pastures doesn’t mean things here were bad,” Salvado explained. “I may be doing well in Uganda, but my wife wasn’t. She felt something was missing in her life.”

According to Salvado, his public profile in Uganda made it difficult for Daphine to secure employment, with potential employers fearing backlash if things went wrong.

“I failed to get my wife a job here because employers worried I’d use my platform against them if she was mistreated. My popularity ended up becoming more of a burden, blocking her opportunities,” he admitted.

Encouraged by Salvado’s sisters who already live abroad, Daphine chose to settle in Canada — a move the entire family supported. Salvado says the relocation has strengthened their marriage.

“She’s doing well, very happy, and the issues we had are no more. Our marriage is very okay,” he assured.
