Fiona Nagirinya, alias Sasha Ferguson, has shut down online rumours questioning the paternity of her children, confirming that her husband, Canary Mugume, is their father.

Speculation began after Sasha shared photos from her son’s first birthday without Canary appearing in any of them.

His delayed birthday post the following day intensified the gossip, with some netizens questioning the state of their marriage and the child’s paternity.

Sasha addressed the claims through her comments and Instagram stories, denying any infidelity and dismissing the rumours as malicious attempts to damage her reputation.

She expressed frustration at how quickly people believed the false narrative.

Sasha and Canary married on 18 September 2021 at Miracle Centre Cathedral, Rubaga. Their wedding, presided over by Pastor Robert Kayanja, is reported to have cost about Shs400 million.

However, since last year, the two have been under scrutiny from social media “in-laws,” with many alleging that they are no longer together and have taken different paths.

Although Canary has remained tight-lipped, Sasha Ferguson has been sharing snippets of what might be happening in their marriage, often sounding like a “motivational speaker and marriage counsellor” of sorts.
