Ugandan music star Jose Chameleone is on the verge of entering a new chapter in his life—becoming a grandfather.
His eldest son, Abba Marcus Mayanja, is expecting his first child with his girlfriend. The news surfaced through a TikTok video in which the young couple appears dancing together, with the girlfriend showing a visible baby bump, suggesting the pregnancy is still in its early stages.
Abba, who is around 20 years old, has been publicly sharing moments with his girlfriend since last year, offering glimpses into their relationship on social media.

The development adds a new dynamic to the Mayanja family, particularly as Abba has been living in the United States with his mother, Daniella Atim, who relocated there with the children in 2020.
In the past, Abba had also attracted attention over rumored links to Mitchelle Kaddu, the daughter of U.S.-based Ugandan singer Desire Luzinda. However, Luzinda dismissed the claims at the time, insisting the two were simply friends.
“Mitchelle and Abba know nothing. The kids are friends, and I think we are in a society (Uganda) that looks too much into a boy-girl friendship. But we are in a modern society (US),” she said.
Now, with a baby on the way, Abba is stepping into fatherhood—while Chameleone prepares to take on the role of grandfather.
