Television viewers tuning in to NTV Uganda’s Mwasuze Mutya will no longer be seeing Stella Nante on the popular morning show.

The television host has announced her departure from Nation Media Group, ending a two-year journey that saw her become one of the familiar faces waking up Ugandans every morning.

Nante confirmed her exit on Tuesday, September 1, describing her decision as the end of a significant chapter but making it clear that she is already preparing for what comes next.

While she has not yet revealed where she is headed, the presenter hinted that her next move could take her in an entirely new direction.

According to Nante, her decision to leave was not sudden. She said she reached the decision about two months ago after taking time to reflect on her career and the opportunities she wants to pursue.

“I am currently pursuing a number of exciting new trajectories, and I felt it was both necessary and prudent to create the space and focus required to give them the attention they deserve,” she said.

Her announcement brings to an end a memorable stay at Nation Media Group, where she worked across NTV Uganda and Spark TV.

Looking back on her time at the media house, Nante described Nation Media Group as one of the best professional homes she has had, saying the experience exposed her to new opportunities and helped shape her career.

“NMG has been one of the best professional homes I have ever had, and I will forever value the people, experiences and lessons that came with being part of this institution,” she said.

She also paid tribute to the viewers who welcomed her into their homes every morning, as well as the guests, sponsors, partners and behind-the-scenes team who worked with her throughout her time on Mwasuze Mutya.

For Nante, leaving the show does not mean walking away from the lessons and relationships she built during her two years at the station.

She says the experience gave her more confidence, helped her build important connections and contributed significantly to her growth as a media personality.

And although she is keeping details of her next move under wraps for now, Nante has promised that her departure from NTV is far from the end of her journey.

Instead, she sees it as the beginning of another chapter.

“For now, thank you, Mwasuze Mutya. Thank you, NMG. Thank you to everyone who was part of this journey. It has been an honour,” she said.
