A strange disease has hit Mubende district. According to Ministry of Health, the strange disease has so far claimed eight lives.
The yet-to-be-identified disease is said to have broken out in July with victims presenting signs of vomiting and headache.
Surveillance and laboratory reports has registered 16 suspected cases, Kabowe parish, Kasambya, Sunga, Kayembe, Kalenzi and Kibalinga sub county.
However laboratory investigations have tested the blood samples negative deadly infections like Ebola, Rift Valley Fever, Marburg, Yellow Fever and Congo Crimean Heamorrhage Fever.
An isolation camp has been established at Mubende Referral Hospital to handle suspected cases.
